As Julie Snyder neared completion of Heartland Haiku, a memoir in verse, she realized that there were more books to be written in her life’s Third Act. So she launched her own small publishing company with the belief that one is never too old to write a book. Third Act Press offers a voice to writers of a certain age who have stories to share via poetry, memoir, fiction and non-fiction.
Julie has been a wordsmith most of her life. A long-time writer, editor and publisher, she has contributed to a variety of lifestyle, in-flight and travel publications, and produced award-winning catalogs for Backroads travel company. She has co-anchored a radio talk show and produced radio travel features.
Julie has also worked in the travel industry, community volunteerism and animal welfare. Currently, she is working on a novel and regularly contributes to Everett Potter’s Travel Report. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, Joe, and rambunctious Maine Coon cat, Rocky.
